HDTV-Secrets.com presents a handy guide to help you in your search.Community (NBC): Dan Harmon, co-creator of The Sarah Silverman Program and co-writer of the 2006 film Monster House, should finally achieve the recognition he deserves with this kind-hearted comedy about a team of misfits at a typical community college. Main character Jeff Winger is one of the most fully-rounded characters on televisiona charismatic and aggressive ladies’ man who slowly evolves from a caricature to a human being with an understanding of responsibility and consequences. Plus, it’s really funny.Justified (AMC): This series joins AMC’s stable of high-calibre dramas as a weekly experience that approaches cinematic levels. Timothy Olyphant plays a U.S. Marshal in Kentucky who conducts a private war against a Harlan County crime family. The show is based on a character created by Elmore Leonard, appearing in his novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and the short story “Fire in the Hole.”Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E): If you mourned the end of The Osbournes and haven’t yet discovered this similar show, you owe it to yourself to check it out. The show aired its 5th season in 2010, and may be even more accessible to new viewers. Simmons himself is a great main character: a rock star dad who regularly becomes bewildered by the practical jokes of his long-time girlfriend and two children.Nikita (CW): There’s still time to get in on the ground floor of this series, which is still in its first season. The show is based off of Luc Besson’s French film Nikita (1990), as well as previous American adaptations. Maggie Q stars as an elite secret agent who previously worked for a shadowy government agency known as the Division. However, she’s gone rogue, and now has a new mission: bring the Division down while dodging the bullets of the agency’s new recruits.
